Remembering

Just looking at my tree photos as I put together my posts for the Terrific Trees Treasure Hunt brought back so many happy memories - there are so many incredible places to see in this world - not enough time or money to see them all!

These pictures of the redwoods in Muir Woods are especially dear to me because we were there the day before I went into labor with our fourth child!

We walked and walked and walked (which may have something to do with me going into labor the next day! :) It was summer time, and warm in general, especially for me, but within Muir Woods, it is cool and shady with so many fascinating plants and animals to see. There is also a sense of peace and calm there - a sacred feeling, really. Also a fitting lead-in to the birth of our precious son.

Allie,

You are, again, too kind. Thank you for the kind words on my blog. And thank you for such great posts here!! I LOVE this terrific trees feature you're going with... and the great story of your 4th child arriving right after visiting these ones! I'm sure it was all that walking! :)
