The love of learning, the sequestered nooks,
And all the sweet serenity of books.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I cannot live without books.
Thomas Jefferson

So, as you can see, reading, for me, is bliss. A library or bookstore feels like paradise to me.

The four photos above are tributes to some of my very favorite books. Any guesses?

a stack of my mother's books

her notes, bookmarking and underlining - precious.

I just started The Secret Life of Bees yesterday, and I am loving it! What are you reading right now?

Thank you so very much for participating in this treasure hunt! We have fun putting them together, and truly appreciate your stopping by! And remember to..........

the love of books is so important, I can't understand people who don't read..
I've read 'The secret life of bees' and loved it! I know there is a movie out based on it which I'd like to see at some point.

Well, you have done something special to the first four photos. I, not being a professional photographer, have no clue how you did what you did. But..... they look wonderful. There is a subtleness, a quietness, a peacefulness about them. You are a class act photographer! I must visit your Etsy shop soon and purchase one of your photographs.

pinkglitterfae - I also want to see the movie - I think Queen Latifah plays August - I LOVE her! Such a touching book!

Audrey, thank you very much - you are so sweet! It makes me happy to know that you enjoy my work!

Thank you so much, Pam! I am really enjoying these treasure hunts with you ladies!

And Noble! Aren't books terrific! Sigh!

And in case you were wondering, the photos were hints to some of my favorite books...."To Kill a Mockingbird" and the Twilight series!
